Privacy Policy

EsoClock Privacy Policy

EsoClock is a menu-bar world clock, globe, and almanac for macOS. This policy explains how it treats your information.

Last updated: July 3, 2026

The short version

EsoClock runs entirely on your Mac in a secure sandbox. It doesn't collect, see, or share your data. With your permission it can show your calendar events beside your clocks — but that reading happens on your device only, and nothing is sent to us. No accounts, no analytics, no ads.

Who we are

EsoClock is made by Many Worlds Labs, an independent software studio. Reach us at hello@manyworldslabs.com.

Calendar access

If you grant calendar permission, EsoClock reads your upcoming events (using Apple's EventKit) so it can display them next to your world clocks. This happens entirely on your Mac. Your events are never transmitted, stored off-device, or seen by us. You can revoke calendar access at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars.

Your settings

Your chosen cities, layout, and preferences are stored locally on your Mac. EsoClock uses Apple's iCloud key-value storage to remember your free-trial start date across reinstalls (tied to your Apple ID) — this holds a date, not personal information.

Bundled data

City data (from the open GeoNames database) and the globe's map imagery are bundled inside the app. EsoClock does not need to contact a server to look up cities or render the globe.

What we collect

Nothing. EsoClock contains no analytics, advertising, tracking, or third-party data-collecting SDKs. It ships with an Apple privacy manifest declaring this.

Keeping and deleting your data

All of EsoClock's data lives on your Mac. Removing the app removes its settings. Your calendars are never copied — EsoClock only reads them live while running.

Children's privacy

EsoClock is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy
