PetSake Privacy Policy
PetSake keeps your dog's health and care records for iPhone and Mac. This policy explains how your — and your pet's — information is handled.
The short version
Your pet's records stay on your device and sync only through your own private iCloud. We don't collect, see, sell, or share any of it. The camera is used only to scan documents you choose to add. No accounts with us, no analytics, no ads.

What information PetSake handles
PetSake stores the details you enter about your pets, which may include:
- Pet profiles (name, breed, birthday, photos, personality)
- Health records — vaccinations, medications, conditions, allergies, weight, and health findings
- Vet visits, appointments, care schedules, feeding plans, and training sessions
- Provider details you add, such as your veterinarian's contact information
- Photos or scans of documents like vet records and vaccination certificates
All of this is stored on your device. We, the developer, never receive it.
Camera
With your permission, PetSake uses the camera so you can scan vet records and vaccination certificates. Captured images are processed and stored on your device (and in your iCloud, if sync is on). They are not sent to us or any third party. You can revoke camera access any time in Settings.
iCloud sync
If you're signed in to iCloud, PetSake syncs your records across your Apple devices using Apple's CloudKit in your private iCloud database — under your control, with no access by us. Apple's role is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Sharing with family (CareShare)
PetSake lets you share a pet's records with family members or co-owners you choose. Shared records are exchanged through Apple's iCloud sharing, only with the people you explicitly invite. We are not part of that exchange and cannot see the shared data. You can stop sharing at any time.
What we collect
Nothing. PetSake contains no analytics, advertising, tracking, or third-party data-collecting SDKs, and there is no account to create with us.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your records stay until you remove them. You can delete individual pets, records, and documents in the app, and export medical records to share with a vet. Deleting the app removes its on-device data; to remove synced copies, delete PetSake's data in your iCloud settings.
Children's privacy
PetSake is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
